Allium moly

One of the smaller growing ornamental onions which will soon make decent sized and showy clumps in the garden. During late winter in our dry garden this onion’s handsome wide greyish basal leaves push through the bare earth where earlier flowering perennials have been cut to the ground. During late spring 25cm tall flower stalks are topped with heads of large bright daffodil-yellow flowers. Happy in the dry garden as well as watered parts of the garden. 25cm x 20cm. Sun or light shade.

Available again in our Bulb Catalogue, early 2011.
