Buddleja crispa

This drought tolerant shrub is grown more for its handsome foliage than for its flowers, pretty though they are. In our dry climate garden it has made an upright shrub some 180cm x 180cm. The new leaves are like white felt and as they age they turn grey. This Buddleja has 50cm long panicles of pink flowers not nearly as densely packed as B.davidii. We grow it with the pewter grey leaved Yucca ‘Ivory Towers’ and under plant with a swarm of mixed Scabiosa hybrids.
