From a genus of tough autumn flowering bulbs (and a few miffy spring flowering species) which suit our climate very well. They flower, make their leaf growth and retire into dormancy during autumn, winter and spring. Colchicum byzantinum has several large, pink almost tulip like flowers and half a dozen bulbs will make a great display. 30cm x 30cm. Sun.
