Crepe myrtles flowered through last summer’s terrible heatwave. Once established they are happy with little or no supplementary watering. L. ‘Tuscarora’ will make a single trunked tree to about 8 metres by 6 metres or a multi stemmed shrub half that height. During summer and autumn large panicles of watermelon red flowers are produced. During late autumn the foliage turns rich orange. The bark is cinnamon coloured.
