A new selection of variegated Miscanthus much smaller growing than M. ‘Zebrinus’ and unlike the latter is neat and tidy. It has a rigidly upright growth habit and its dark green leaves are heavily banded with gold. It impressed visitors to our garden last summer and autumn. A relatively dwarf growing Miscanthus it has made 100cm tall foliage clumps after two years. The reddish flower feathers are held another 50cm above the foliage. It needs 120cm spacing.
