Pittosprum tobira - Japanese Mock OrangeOne of the best evergreen shrubs for coastal planting where it is often grown as a hedge. An old planting of it can still be found the front of the Queenscliff Hotel in Victoria. It has handsome dark glossy evergreen foliage and spring flowers which fill the air with the fragrance of orange blossom. Whilst most often grown as a hedge or shrub it can be allowed to grow into a small tree. It is frost and drought hardy. 6m x 4m as a tree. 2m x 2m when clipped. |
