A seventy five years old Turkey Oak growing in the Waite Arboretum has grown 16 metres tall by 20 metres in width although it can get much taller in favourable conditions. It is happy in coastal areas as well as inland and is the most reliable oak to plant in difficult areas. Once established this tree needs very little or no supplementary watering. Suited to large gardens and parks only.
