Planting Lilium Bulbs

Whilst Lilium bulbs can be planted for much of the winter and early spring, by far the best time to do the job is May-June as this gives the bulbs time to make strong root growth before top growth commences. The bulbs we are offering have just been dug and are all top quality and of excellent size.

Lilium bulbs are best planted 15 cm deep in reasonably good soil which doesn’t parch during summer. They are best in full sun but will tolerate a little light shade. A spot which gets 6 hours of sun a day during their growing period would be fine too.
