Allium jesdianum ‘Akbulak’
This form of Allium jesdianum grows taller than Allium x hollandicum ‘Purple Sensation' at Lambley where it flowers during late October and early November. The tennis ball sized purple flower heads are held on 90cm tall stems. We grow it between a group of the deciduous Ceratostigma willmottiana. The handsome green seed heads prolong the display into summer. This form of Allium jesdianum was collected in Uzbekistan.
