Allium ‘Pinball Wizard’
Hate the name but the plant is a good one. It’s a new cultivar which has shorter flower stems, some 50cm or so, than others of its kind. The softly fragrant “....globes of silvery lilac-purple.” Are some 15 to 20cm in diameter. Unlike Allium giganteum this cultivar keeps its foliage up to and through flowering time. A terrific new addition to this exciting group of ornamental onions. Happiest in full sun and wants to be kept on the dry side during summer.
