Anemone canadense

This little rambler is native to much of North America. I’ve grown it under and around shrubs such as Hydrangea paniculata for 15 years or more and each spring and summer enjoy a carpet of maple like green leaves and 30cm tall stems each carrying a white windflower. It tolerates heat and drought much better than Japanese windflowers and is not as invasive although it is stoloniferous. 30cm by 40cm.
