Asian Greens, Choi Sum 'Gunsho F1
Choi Sum or Chinese broccoli is one of the most popular Chinese vegetables. They are harvested just before or just as the first flowers open. The stems are bright green, very sweet and have excellent flavour. The plant regrows and can be cut many times. Sow all year round.
When to sow: August until April
Where to sow: Direct sow into prepared garden bed
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Direct sow 15 seed per 30cm in rows 40cm apart
Directions: Harvest before flowers open. New shoots will quickly develop.
