Asian Greens, Tokyo Bekana

21 days baby 45 days full size. A popular Japanese mini Chinese cabbage which can be harvested as a baby leaf or mini cabbage. Curly and ruffled light green leaves are excellent for salad as well as stir-fry. A good cut and come again vegetable. Sow all year round.

When to sow: August until April
Where to sow: Direct sow into prepared garden bd
Depth to sow: 5mm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add   lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Sow 1cm apart for baby leaf and thin to 10-15 cm for full size.
Directions:  Harvest when leaves are 10-12cm tall for baby leaf and for full size when rosettes are formed.
