Clematis tangutica ‘Golden Tiara’
Old Man’s Beard
Easy to grow and free flowering, we’ve had ‘Golden Tiara’ growing on a fence for many years now and it never ceases to astonish us with its long flowering beauty. It is also a major element in the double borders along the main axis in our flower garden where it produces its rich lemon waxy flowers from early summer until autumn. Each flower gives way to a showy silver haired seed head. By winter the whole plant looks as though it’s covered by a grey fluffy beard which earns it the name 'Old Man's Beard'. It’s best cut to ground level every winter. 200cm x 150cm.
