Hypericum cerastioides ‘Sylvania’
Hardy Groundcover
The species, native to Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey, grows amongst rocks and in sparse pine woods. It makes a prostrate trailing mat of small, aromatic, soft grey-green leaves studded by large, long-lasting lemon flowers. Blooming from mid-spring until well into summer, it is best grown in a sunny spot and, whilst tough, a little extra water during dry periods is advised. 5cm tall by 60cm across.
