Tulbaghia violacea ‘John May's Special’
This variety is the tallest and most handsome of all the Tulbaghias which flowers on stems some 80cm tall. It looks for all the world like a pink flowered Agapanthus. The grassy foliage clumps are evergreen and the strong flower stems produce heads of large mauve-pink flowers from late spring on into the autumn. It is a tough sun loving drought tolerant plant. The foliage clumps make 30cm by 50cm.
